Loren Stillman

Loren Stillman is a Brooklyn based saxophonist and composer who The New York Times has called “exceptionally gifted with a distinctive sound on his instrument. He’s a watchful sort of improviser, rigorous about everything, including the unknown.” He attended the Manhattan School of Music as well as the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and has studied under Lee Konitz and David Liebman. He has released nine recordings as a leader and also has performed with Charlie Haden, Paul Motian, Joe Lovano, Greg Osby, Carla Bley, John Abercrombie, Eivind Opsvik, John McNeil, Brad Shepik, Russ Lossing, Michele Rosewoman Quintessence, Ralph Alessi, Andy Milnes DAPP Theory, Vic Juris and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
