Edward James Taylor “J.T.” Lewis Jr., drummer, composer, and improviser whose powerful groove and adventurous spirit have made him a vital force across jazz, rock, and experimental music. He has toured and/or recorded with a wide range of artists including Henry Threadgill, Don Pullen, David Murray, Marc Ribot, Bill Laswell, Kip Hanrahan, as well as Sting, Lou Reed, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and Vanessa Williams, among many others.
